As he prepares to kick off his 2022 tour with a residency at New York City’s legendary Blue Note Jazz Club, multi-hyphenate musician/producer Isaiah Sharkey gifts fans with a taste of what’s to come on his latest single “Stay.”

"Stay" tells the tale of a fleeting love affair and leaves the listener floating on a sea of smooth guitar riffs and gentle percussion. Inspired by a real-life romance and recorded during lockdown, Isaiah paints a vivid picture of the mystery and magnetism associated with a chance but captivating encounter. “Won’t you stay awhile with me / I’ll show you how love could really be / While we coast across the sea of fantasy / One room, two hearts in love and unity,” he sings.

Serving as the lead single for Sharkey's third album, “Stay” showcases his multifaceted talent both lyrically and musically. He not only produced and played every instrument on the track, but he wrote an engaging love story we can all enjoy and/or relate to.

“It was inspired by an encounter that I had on a cruise ship. Meeting a woman and connecting. You know, speaking and just having great conversation," Isaiah shared about the track's inspiration. "I embellished on that story of two people meeting on a cruise and falling in love and not wanting to leave. And they end up staying together forever. It’s inspired by that story and 'Voyage To Atlantis' by The Isleys.”
