It's a great time to be a PJ Morton fan. The man has blessed us with dope new singles, entertained us with exciting television performances and he has his star-studded new album Watch The Sun on the way to us in a matter of days. But that's not all, folks! In addition to all of that, Morton has plans to take his Black excellence on the road with the announcement of his Watch The Sun Tour.
PJ's worldwide Watch The Sun Tour will kick off in Sydney, Australia on May 25th. From there, the undisputed Live Show Killer will hit Melbourne, Australia and Jakarta, Indonesia, where he'll play the Java Jazz Festival, before coming back stateside. At that point, he'll begin the North American leg of the tour in June where he'll spend the bulk of his summer and fall on the road in the U.S. and Canada.
Morton's tour bus will clock in a lot of miles when he and his band start their travels in Houston, Texas on June 17th. He'll venture to cities big and small and hit Dallas, Detroit, St. Louis, Memphis, Toronto, New York City and Philadelphia, to name a few, through July. He'll pick up the tour in late August and continue on to cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Charlotte, D.C., Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles and Phoenix. PJ will wrap things up on October 1st with the tour's final stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Tickets to see PJ Morton live on the Watch The Sun Tour are currently on pre-sale with the code WATCHTHESUN and will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 22nd at 10 a.m. local time. We suspect that these tickets will sell out with the quickness, so if you're interested in attending, make your plans and get your coins together ASAPtually.
If you don't want to wait until this summer to see PJ Morton in concert, then you may want to take a quick trip to New Orleans to go to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival next weekend. PJ will be playing there on Friday, April 29th, which is also the release date for Watch The Sun, so you know he is going to show up and show all the way out for his city.
