Lion Babe Takes Us 'Home' In An Intimate New Visual

Lion Babe had an eventful 2021 with their recent album Rainbow Child and the steady stream of visuals they produced for the set (not to mention the fact that they quietly welcomed a baby while promoting the album). But if you thought they'd shrink away in 2022, you thought wrong. The duo continues their effort to turn Rainbow Child into a complete digital album with the release of their latest music video, "Home."

"Home" is a soul-searching track riding over a smooth old-soul sample. The twosome taps into the retro feel of the song for the video, opening with singer Jillian Hervey looking like the lead singer of a '60s girl group. She lays tangled in covers as a mass of ebony curls top her head as she tosses and turns while delivering the anguishing lyrics.

In a similar yet far more tranquil setting, Astro Raw strums on a guitar while serving us a vintage look, juxtaposing the two and showcasing the two minds of the song: the need to go home and the realization that what was once home isn't there anymore.

Time and time again, Lion Babe shows us how they can do the most with the simplest visual concepts. The clip for "Home" proves that once again. Only one track from Rainbow Child — album closer "Thank You, Thank You" — remains video-less. At this rate, however, we don't think that will remain true much longer.
