Everything Gwen Bunn touches is a serious bop. The last time time we heard from her, she was riding shotgun with bLAck pARty on "Soakin" and prior to that she took us "Between The Lines" with R&B and soul legend Faith Evans. On "Between The Lines," Gwen was forward in letting the lover in her life know what it is she wanted, but on her latest single "2ManyThings" she returns on the solo tip and puts the ball in their court.
“2ManyThings” finds Gwen vocalizing how she is certain of what it is she wants and what it is she is looking for, but she has too many things on her mind to make choices for her partner. On the refrain of the song the singer/songwriter/producer sings, “I'd make some time for you, oh, ooh, oh, oh / I can't decide for you, oh, no / You choose / I'd make some time for you, oh, oh-oh, no / I can't decide for you, oh, no / You choose, you choose.”
It’s evident Gwen is ready to move forward, willing to be present and all in, but she's leaving it up to said lover to decide if they want the same. She's got way to much going on to think for two.
For the accompanying visuals for the song, we see Bunn vibing out around Bar Mateo Zinc Café in downtown Los Angeles and sauntering around a luxe high rise. Perhaps she is giving the ambiguous companion space and time to think about where they want the relationship to go? It is evident Gwen gets some space. And in the meantime, she counts on her adorable fur-friend to kick it with and help keep her company.
