Silk Sonic was the talk of the GRAMMYs this year when their track "Leave The Door Open" landed the gold in every single category it was nominated in (including the coveted Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year awards). Perhaps that's why it's surprising that the track hasn't been subject to many remixes. Our fave Ezel sets to rectify this oversight with his own spin on the celebrated track.

He starts by bumping up the bpm and the beat with knocking drums and a floating synth line that riffs on the melody of the original track. However, by the time Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars' voices join in, the party gets in full swing as cymbals sound off and horns are even added into the mix.

After grabbing our attention on the mix, he holds it there as the repeated loop of drums and synth create a sort of hypnotizing effect with the original vocals, especially when the bridge comes to play. Ezel gets a bit bolder then, playing beyond the airy closing of the song with a synthesizer solo that at first mimics and then expands upon the closing vocal lines as the rhythm pushes through an added three minutes for those still wanting to sweat it out on the dance floor.

It's safe to say that the famed producer has done it once again with this one. If you've ever wondered what it would sound like if Ezel and Silk Sonic came together, you now have the answer. You can listen to the remix of "Leave The Door Open" when you press play and pick up your own copy of the track and its instrumental over on Bandcamp.
