Serayah got vulnerable with us when she released her latest single "P.O.V." The song found the singer/actress reflecting on her life, from her humble beginnings to her current glamorous life. She expands on the song's themes with the release of its music video.
The clip finds Serayah heading back home as she takes a trip down memory lane. When she walks through the door, she finds a photo book to help her reminisce and treat us to various scenes from her upbringing. These include a scene from her childhood as her mom struggles with bills as she and her sibling runaround, a scene of what looks like her teenage years as she hangs with her homegirls, a scene of her hanging with a former flame and, most important, a scene of her writing songs in her childhood bedroom.
Each of these scenes gives us a clue as to who Serayah is and the events that shaped her into the woman that she is. Speaking of which, we also get several scenes of her now as she rocks flawless looks and a short blonde 'do showing how much she's glowed up since the days of her youth.
"'P.O.V.' is one of my most personal records to date, and it felt like the perfect single [to] lead with as I release my new project...it’s my point of view touching on the past few years growing as a young woman, life before the fame and how I’ve navigated the trails amidst the triumphs leading me to this point of self-actualization," the singer said about the single while teasing her as-yet-untitled upcoming project.
