The pandemic tried to ruin our good time when it came on the scene two years ago. And, judging by the number of concerts, tours and festivals that were canceled because of it, it was pretty successful. But we're happy to see that festivals are coming back! That includes one of our favorites, the ESSENCE Festival Of Culture. The top-tier event will once again be happening in New Orleans this coming Fourth Of July weekend, and it's bringing some major star power to welcome it back to the Big Easy.

The 2022 edition of the festival will take place June 30th-July 3rd, kicking off with the comedy stylings of Kevin Hart as part of his Reality Check Tour. But it's all music for the next three nights. The three headliners are industry titans Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson and New Edition, who will each cap off their own night July 1st-July 3rd.

A handful of other stars have also confirmed they'll be performing at the festival, among them Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker and The Isley Brothers who will all take the stage. The event will also feature The Roots and D-Nice, with each act coming with their own coterie of friends to help set the party off right. Of course, this being a holiday weekend packed full of events and performances and all, you can bet your bottom dollar a lot more artists will be joining the bill.

You can register for the festival and buy advance tickets to Kevin Hart's show and the advance weekend concert bundle now via ESSENCE's website. And if you know how it goes, we suggest you do it sooner rather than later. Check out the official Instagram announcement below.
