Music festivals made a semi-comeback in 2021, and more are ramping up to return this year. One such that is back on the block is Washington, D.C.'s Broccoli City Festival.

After being forced to cancel the 2020 and 2021 editions – both of which featured incredible lineups that included the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Snoh Aalegra, Lucky Daye and many more – Broccoli City is ready to bounce back like it never left. Presented by Live Nation Urban, Broccoli City Festival 2022 will bring a long list of talent to the Nation's Capital on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th to the RFK Festival Grounds.

Throughout the weekend, R&B will be well represented. Day one will see the DMV's own Ari Lennox, Joyce Wrice and Muni Long, whose viral hit "Hrs And Hrs" is climbing up the charts. Summer Walker will headline day two where she'll be joined by Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Tems, Masego and singer Alex Vaughn.

Numerous rappers are also on the bill, including 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Rico Nasty, Jeezy and Gunna, among others. Hometown favorite Wale was scheduled to perform, but he took to Twitter to pull out from the festival an hour after its announcement. Citing "Respect" as his reason for canceling, the "Poke It Out" rapper feels disrespected in his own city with his position on day one's lineup behind 21, Ari and Durk.

There will also be the BC 5K Run & FitFest the morning of Saturday, May 7th.
