It looks as if Jazmine Sullivan is as anxious about the release of Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe as we are. Since announcing the expanded edition to her GRAMMY-nominated set Heaux Tales at the end of January, Jazzy has since given us a peek at the cover art and tracklist and even shared some snippets.
As seen above, The Deluxe cover mimics the original but flips the color palette. Fluorescent lime green is the predominant color now with black lettering. Jazmine's photograph remains the same but is in black-and-white instead of full color.
The tracklist includes a total of 10 new tracks comprised of five new songs and five new tales. These new additions will join the original's 14 tracks to give us a truly deluxe listening experience.
Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales will feature the previously released single "Tragic" and new jawns "Hurt Me So Good," "Roster," "BPW" and "Selfish," which will complete the musical saga. One of the snippets that Jazmine posted to her socials was of the track "Roster," and it already sounds like a perfect fit into the Heaux Tales universe as she warns, "So don't catch feelings / I know this sounds appealing / You just gotta fall in line."
The sage advice and scandalous stories we loved from Heaux Tales will continue on Mo' Tales. After sharing her girl crew's anecdotes on the original edition, Jazmine will finally talk her ish on "Jazzy's Tale." Additional tales will be told by Issa Rae, her friends Mona and Shanti and a yet-to-be-named man on "A Breaux's Tale." Sullivan has shared a hilarious snippet of "Mona's Tale" where she compares her prowess in the bedroom to the King of R&B. "I'm giving Bobby Brown. Because I want you to remember how good this p***y is," her girl Mona quips.
Jazmine Sullivan's Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe drops this Friday, February 11th, and it is one of the most anticipated new releases of this young year. There are still a few more days until Jazmine blesses us with her latest, so there's no telling what else she'll surprise us with between now and then.
