Bobby Brown has a busy year ahead of him. Not only does the King of R&B have The Culture Tour lined up where he’ll be performing with his New Edition bandmates from February through April, he also has two television projects on the horizon coming to the A&E network.
Brown will be the subject of A&E’s long-running Biography series when his two-part documentary Biography: Bobby Brown premieres on Memorial Day. The documentary is described as an “up-close and personal look at [Brown’s] journey to superstardom and the fallout from his personal struggles with sobriety and the tragic deaths of his two children and first wife, Whitney Houston.” The King of R&B will open up about his tumultuous life and times during the doc that will feature commentary from his New Edition brothers, Babyface, Usher, Jermaine Dupri, Keith Sweat and many more.
The documentary will showcase his storied career and catalog of hit music, but it will have its heavier moments. Cameras will follow Bobby as he visits the graves of Houston and his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown for the first time since their deaths. The project will also show him planning a memorial tribute for his late son Bobby Brown Jr. who passed away in November 2020.
For some lighter fare, Brown will make his return to reality television with the 12-part docuseries Bobby Brown: Every Little Step. The star of Bravo’s infamous 2005 reality show Being Bobby Brown will once again let cameras into his real-life, but, hopefully, this time we won’t witness another trainwreck. We will see Bobby living and loving on his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown, being a father to his five living children and reuniting with his NE family for The Culture Tour.
Make plans to tune in to A&E to watch Biography: Bobby Brown when it airs on Monday, May 30th and Tuesday, May 31st at 8 pm ET/PT both nights. Bobby Brown: Every Little Step‘s regular schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but it will premiere immediately following night two of the documentary on Tuesday, May 31st.
