John Legend has truly lived up to his stage name, earning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony for his work across the arts. Now he’s ready to move into the next stage of his career, signing with the star-studded record label Republic Records and recording a new Christmas song to seal the deal entitled “You Deserve It All.”
On ‘You Deserve It All,” Legend goes on a shopping spree to spoil the woman in his life who gives him her all. Produced by Raphael Saadiq and co-written by Meghan Trainor, it’s an upbeat pop number that sounds like a nostalgic Christmas song of yore.
Along with the new track, Legend also shared a lyric video so that we can learn this one quickly for Christmas caroling purposes in a few weeks. The animated clip gives you all the feels of the holiday season, with gift boxes, wrapping paper, ornaments, vintage fonts and patterned graphic designs in Christmastime colors filling the screen.
In addition to signing his new deal with Republic Records and being a spokesman for Vrbo, Legend has also signed on with LG Electronics to be one of their brand ambassadors for their premium brand LG Signature. It looks like he'll be joining Pink Sweat$ as an LG pitchman and collecting more of those corporate coins.
