It's officially fall and the last days of warmth are slowly waning. That means that we need to take advantage of all the outside time we can before winter comes in to break up the party. Perhaps that's what has inspired our boy Masego to link with ATL rappers Big Boi and JID for his latest single "Garden Party."
"Garden Party" picks up on the jazzy neo-soul vibes that 'Sego was giving on his EP Studying Abroad and its expanded edition. He takes center stage here, whipping up a smooth cut that describes a crazy night that includes a "battle of the bands/krump battle/twerk dance/rap battle" and much, much more. Anchoring it is shimmering synth line and sexy sax riff that acts as the song's chorus. The featured guests also contribute to the jammin' climate by lacing the track with slick lyrics that do their hometown proud while keeping the fun, laid-back vibe alive.
"Garden Party" doesn't appear on Studying Abroad: Extended Stay and doesn't come with an announcement of a new album. However, it is a perfect track to close out of the heat of summer and take us into the subdued feel of fall.
