Chanté Moore Finds Inspiration In The 'Right One'

It's been four years since Chanté Moore released her album The Rise Of The Phoenix and two years since the release of her last single "Fresh Love." The veteran songstress never rests for too long, however, and she's already back with new music. This time, she's giving us a different side of herself with "Right One."

"Right One" switches up her usual style for this one, trying on a poppier type of R&B that actual sounds closer to inspirational music (and, depending on if someone added a little extra twang, could have been country). Chanté takes the opportunity to sing about finding the right man for her who accepts her flaws and all. "Every time I make a mess /
You remind me it's okay / The scars that you see are the lessons / And the beauty's in the pain," she sings. "Searching for relief / While your mercy chases me / If I knew back then what I know now / I wouldn't change a thing." Though she specifies "man" throughout the chorus, the track could easily be about discovering the divine and finding healing in God's grace.

The video for the track even gives us a contemporary Christian feel, featuring the singer frolicking in the sunshine while riding a bike and ducking under and around trees. It's a wholesome feeling clip that isn't outside of the singer's wheelhouse although it doesn't serve up the sexiness in previous clips like "Something To Remember."
