Raheem DeVaughn & Apollo Brown Want To Be Your 'Zaddy'

Collaborators Raheem DeVaughn and Apollo Brown have been in the studio cooking up their new album Lovesick. The joint project promises to be a meeting of the two artists' worlds. We got our first listen last month when the duo dropped their single "When A Man." Now the loverman and the hip-hop production vet are sliding us another earful of the project with their next single "Zaddy."

Like "When A Man," "Zaddy" rides a loop of a familiar groove. This time around it's Weldon Irvine's classic "Morning Sunrise" providing the backbone of the song. The fellas spice it up with a smooth drumbeat and a few added harmonies to change up the song's DNA a bit. That makes it the perfect track for Raheem to boast about his prowess. He sings of loving his lady a long time while making sure she's pleased. And what will she be saying when this goes down? "Tonight, I'm gon' make you call me Zaddy," Raheem sings on the chorus without an ounce of shame. Rapstress 3D Na'Tee steps into the role of his lover as she kicks a rhyme about him hitting her spots and how she can return the favor.

"Zaddy" is a freaky good time that should leave you begging for more. You won't have to beg long, though, as Lovesick is set to arrive on June 4th. Get lost in Raheem DeVaughn and Apollo Brown's smooth (and nasty) groove when you press play.
