Having an album debut at a time when the world faced a burgeoning global crisis doesn’t sound like an ideal situation. But Givēon took a chance on himself – releasing not one, but two albums – and it has paid off. His debut release TAKE TIME is currently up for Best R&B Album at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards and also garnered him an NAACP Award nomination for Outstanding New Artist. To celebrate his success, the talented Long Beach, California-native has dropped the deluxe album When It’s All Said And Done…Take Time.
As the title implies, the album houses current projects TAKE TIME and When It’s All Said And Done together under one roof. Not only does it make sense, but the transition is seamless as Givēon’s emotive baritone keeps us spellbound throughout fan favorites such as “Like I Want You,” Heartbreak Anniversary” and “Last Time” (featuring SoulBounce fave Snoh Aalegra). What makes this deluxe version even better is the inclusion of a brand new song, entitled “All To Me.” Serenading a special lady over warm guitar, soft strings, shimmering keys and rhythmic cymbals, Givēon makes a convincing case of why he’s the one she should be with.
