Otis Kane Experiences The 'Growing Pains' Of Love On New EP

With Valentine's Day just past, romance is still on the minds of most. While the holiday tends to make everything seem like a heart-eyes emoji, those with "experience" in love understand that it's not always flowers, chocolates and warm fuzzies. Sometimes, there are hard lessons to be learned. Rising R&B singer Otis Kane explores these complexities of relationships in his latest EP Growing Pains.

The album begins by flashing back to some not-so-happy times, pondering whether the relationship can be salvaged on "Fight For You." Before Otis can properly deal with his emotions post-breakup, he's already found another object of his affections on "Lost" and "Without You." Sugar Joans delivers perspective from the other side, serving up sultry vocals on the sizzling duet "Someone Like You." It sounds like he's got the woman of his dreams.  Yet somehow, at the close of the album, Mr. Kane finds himself in a similar position to where he started – alone and questioning his approach to love on the upbeat groove "Lay My Head Down."

"This EP represents growth for me, as a human, and as an artist," Otis explains. With the promise of more new music to come later this year, we're looking forward to seeing what's next for the promising artist.
