We're approaching the halfway point of December, and if the Christmas spirit hasn't hit you by now, a revamp of your playlist might help. In case you missed it, we've been highlighting some of our favorite holiday projects over the past couple of months, so our archives are a good place to start. But if you need an immediate festive fix, our homies The Hamiltones dropped something new that you can check out right now – a deluxe edition of their 2017 release, A Hamiltone Christmas.
Repackaged as A Hamiltones Christmas (note the added "s" to match the group's name), the album cover isn't the only thing that's new about the EP. J. Vito, Tony Lelo, and 2E have included four never-released songs, giving us more than twice the amount of music to groove to. Continuing the vintage soul feel of the original line up, "Under The Mistletoe" is an infectious bop that will make you move. Frequent collaborator Ricco Barrino joins the trio for "Look At The Lights," a feel-good groove and the album's most contemporary-sounding tune. "One Wish" is a soulful serenade filled with romance and Yuletide cheer. The album closes with "Most Of All," a heartwarming tale that reminds us of the real meaning of Christmas.
In addition to the padded project, the fellas have also unveiled lo-fi visuals to match the vintage sounds of "Silent Night." Scroll down to take a listen and sneak a peek. A Hamiltones Christmas (Deluxe Edition) is currently available for download via your favorite retailers.
