2020 is looking real good on Jhené Aiko right about now. Her album Chilombo garnered critical acclaim when it first dropped and she's be riding high on its success all year. In fact, she's ridden its wave all the way to the GRAMMY Awards and secured three nominations for the upcoming ceremony — including a nod in the coveted Album Of The Year category. How is the singer-songwriter celebrating? By releasing a video for her track "Born Tired."
Like many of Chilombo's visuals, "Born Tired" leans toward the chill side of things as it gives us a slice of Jhené's hectic life. That includes video footage of her chilling with the fam, enjoying life among nature and even making music. It pairs nicely with the song's message, which is about pushing through life's hardships to appreciate the good things you've got going. The chill vibes and uplifting mood are exactly what we expect from Jhené and a perfect victory lap to cap a successful year.
