Keke Palmer Has Some ‘Weird Science’ Going On In ‘Dreamcatcher’

We might be in Scorpio season, but for fans of Keke Palmer it’s still all about her Virgo Tendencies, Pt. 1 EP. The always busy singer/actress has dropped a few visuals from the August release — including clips for tracks “Snack” and “Thick.” She’s at it once again to give us throwback vibes with her video for “Dreamcatcher.”

Like “Thick,” “Dreamcatcher” is a fast-paced, pop-leaning track that gives us ’80s dance vibes. Keke takes that feel even further in the video by looking to the raunchy 1985 teen comedy Weird Science. The clip opens with a geek drinking Surge while creating a computer program to make the perfect girl. A malfunction makes him call it quits early and allows for Keke to come to life and make a cameo. From there, it’s all about her as she takes him through all kinds of fantasies. She’s playing video games, turning him on and literally working him out throughout the video’s just-over-three-minute runtime. Alas, it was all a dream and we’re shown just that as the geeky teen awakes in the morning to sunshine and an empty bed.

While not a new route for Keke Palmer, the video for “Dreamcatcher” is still a pretty fun time. If you’re feeling a bit nostalgic, you can watch Keke play ’80s movie hottie when you press play.
