Queen Naija Is A Real Housewife Of 1960s Atlanta In 'Pack Lite'

On her latest single “Pack Lite,” Queen Naija took some inspiration from neo-soul diva Erykah Badu on how to give her man the boot. For the video, she links up with R&B diva Teyana Taylor (who ironically featured Ms. Badu on her recent album), to help her further tell the story of a woman who’s fed up with the lies and games that men play.

While the track is about a man doing wrong, the video puts a twist on the story and gives us a happy ending. Directed by Taylor under the moniker Spike Tey, the visual tells the story of a 1960s Atlanta housewife with dreams of being a singer. She suspects that her man might be doing more than bringing home the bacon when he steps out of the house. Things escalate when some hussy's phone number falls out of his work shirt and he decides to work a double shift instead of coming to her show. But the real fireworks are what happens at the end of the night.

“Pack Lite” comes from Queen Naija’s eagerly awaited self-titled debut album. There’s no official release date, but the way the single and video are gaining steam, we’re sure we’ll get more information soon.
