Following a short break from the studio, Izzy Bizu came back strong last year with her satisfying EP Glita. The project featured smoldering singles and captivating visuals – simultaneously serving as a proper reintroduction to the talented artist and giving us hope that a full-length album wouldn't be too far behind.
Of course, no one could've predicted the crapfest that is "2020." But while lockdown has forced Izzy to put some plans on hold, the British chanteuse is at-the-ready with new music. Her current single "Faded" is a shimmery, mid-tempo groove about the emotional highs and lows of being in a relationship. She explains that "It's one of those weird feelings; when you're with them you feel faded but when you're without them you feel faded in another way, and you can't decide if you want them in or out of your life."
Izzy shot the official visuals for disco-tinged pop tune just before the pandemic hit. It's a simple concept featuring Ms. Bizu rocking a halo of curls and '70s-inspired couture as she alternates between moments of solitude and a lively "Girls Night" with her pals. Alone or in a crowd, it's clear that her thoughts are with someone else.
