Trey Songz & Summer Walker Make Us Feel Right At 'Home' During Quarantine 2020

Being at home is the last thing that anyone wants to be right now, but with the coronavirus on the prowl, we’re stuck indoors for better or worse. Trey Songz makes a strong case for kicking it at the crib with your loved ones and offers a little bit of joy with his single “Back Home" featuring Summer Walker and its accompanying visuals.

On “Back Home,” Trey samples lyrics from New Edition’s “If It Isn’t Love” and utilizes an often-used sample from Rose Royce's “I’m Going Down” to create a track about a complicated relationship. Basically, home is where the heart is, even if it’s a dysfunctional home. “If it isn’t love, why I keep coming back / I keep coming back, back home,” Trey questions on the chorus. Summer Walker retorts on the second verse, “Why are you so hard to leave? / Why are you so hard to believe? / Can't you make it easy for me?” to let us know that she is also feeling a way.

Along with sharing this new duet with Summer, Trey has also shared a pair of videos to comfort his fans during the pandemic. The first video, dubbed the "Quarantine 2020" version, Songz features people across the country in their own home videos, finding ways to pass the time and deal with the craziness. Beyond some great scenes from fans cooking, exercising, doing hair and busting a move, there are also cameos from Trey's son and his recently revealed mother, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Megan Thee Stallion, D-Nice and Summer herself who makes a cameo celebrating her 24th birthday.

For the second video, named the "LA2VA" version, we see Trey mostly spending some downtime with his son, mother and other family members back home in Virginia. We watch more cell phone video as he hops on a plane fully covered and practicing social distancing to jet sets across the country from LA to VA. When he arrives, he wakes his son up in the morning and has the best play date ever. We see footage of his son's low-key first birthday party spent with immediate family.

While bored in the house, bored in the house, bored, hit play on both clips and let Trey Songz give you a double dose of the feels.
