Although it would have been easy for Atlanta duo EARTHGANG to put things on pause with releases given the state of the world, Olu and WowGr8 instead used the time to drop an animated musical trilogy, which concludes with the finale, the psychedelic visuals for "Fields" featuring Malik.
The illustrated clip wraps up the out-of-this-world journey that kicked off last month with "LaLa Challenge" and "Avenue." In "Fields," the duo continues their trippy adventure across red-drenched skies and color-shifting flower fields (in a spaceship, of course) where they encounter an android lounging atop a massive robotic heart, one seriously-emaciated leopard and a host of flying objects. The song's thumping bass and driving horns further transport viewers on a hypnotic trip as Olu and WowGr8 take listeners along for the ride through the Atlanta streets that raised them.
"Fields" is the latest single taken from EARTHGANG's 2019 album, Mirrorland. While the song's vibe and accompanying visuals will likely do little to quell comparisons to that other ATL duo, a closer look will reveal that Olu and WowGr8 are dancing to the beat of their own drum.
