Last year, super-producer Kaytranada surprised fans with an early holiday gift in the form of his second studio album BUBBA. Since then, he’s shared the visual for one of the project’s stand out instrumentals "Puff Lah," and now finally he’s dropped the accompanying video for the lead single “10%” featuring Kali Uchis. The Stephen Isaac-directed clip features Kaytra in his DJ bag, as he curates the vibe for a '70s-style party. When he’s not spinning records, and when Kali’s not serving a glammed-out performance in the mirror, we spy the two of then counting cash amidst the festive crowd. Overall, the video feels like an authentic throwback with its smoke-filled party scene, complete with an impromptu Soul Train line.
As an addition to all the excitement, Kaytranada has also announced the North American leg of his BUBBA Tour. We’re quite sure we weren’t alone in the eye-roll that coincided with the announcement of a handful of dates throughout Australia and New Zealand upon the album’s release. Now, we can all breathe a sigh of relief as we scramble to grab tickets for the 19-city tour, which kicks off in San Francisco in April and wraps in Minneapolis in June, as part of the Prince Celebration 2020.
