H.E.R. Is 'Comfortable' With Her Contribution To 'The Photograph' Soundtrack

Just in time for Valentine’s Day festivities, H.E.R. drops the single “Comfortable” taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming feature film The Photograph starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield. The DJ Camper-produced track serves a relaxing and romantic vibe and is somewhat of a throwback to the stripped-down acoustic sound we’ve come to love her for. H.E.R.’s tone is full of devotion and desire as she sings, “Lay your head on my pillow / Touching's makin' me feel a way / When I get around you, I lose it / 'Cause I feel so comfortable with you.” Backing vocals by Anthony Clemons, Jr. complement hers and help to set the mood for lovers. The song sounds like the perfect fit for the love story between Issa and LaKeith's characters in the highly-anticipated flick and follows the first listen we got of the soundtrack from Lucky Daye with his single "Fade Away."

“Comfortable” marks H.E.R.'s second release of the new year on the heels of her single "Sometimes" debuting just last weekend at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Both tracks pair nicely together, as both are guitar-driven and keeps the focus on H.E.R’s tender trademark sound and skilled songwriting. While there is no official word on whether all this new music from H.E.R.'s direction is part of a rollout for her much-anticipated follow-up to 2019's I Used To Know Her, we’ve been seeing a lot of our good sis lately, most recently in Pepsi's Super Bowl LIV commercial alongside Missy Elliott, and something tells us we won’t be waiting much longer.

Slip into H.E.R.’s “Comfortable” and be sure to add it to your lover's holiday playlist from your favorite digital platform. If you are anything like us, you’ll be keeping your ear to streets for more from H.E.R. and are already making plans to see The Photograph when it hits the big screen on Friday, February 14th.
