Soul music lovers everywhere have been in love with Raheem DeVaughn for over a decade and that love only grew with his latest effort, The Love Reunion. In fact, they've shown the album plenty of love since it was released last summer. Raheem, in turn, hasn't been stingy when it comes to the visuals released from the album. We've gotten clips for singles "Just Right" and "Rose Gold" — which featured fellow singers V. Bozeman and Brave Williams, respectively, as their leading ladies. Now he's giving us another visual from the set, this time for the project's title track "Love Reunion."
The previous videos were steamy affairs showing off his chemistry with his co-stars. For "Love Reunion," though, Raheem focuses on trying to heal the rift that infidelity has caused. We see his lady in tears and packing her bags after discovering his indiscretions. Meanwhile, he's apologizing profusely in the lyrics as he begs for a second chance. Given what the track's about, you already know that she's going to let him back in her heart. But that's not where it stops as the couple is back in each other's arms and steaming up their shower in very adult ways soon after the split. In fairness, Raheem offers scenes of him being contrite and just as broken up as his lady is over what he's done to show that he's earned his way back into her good graces. Plus, did you really think you'd get a Raheem DeVaughn video without a scene or two to fog up your glasses?
The self-proclaimed Love King has a big 2020 planned, with his calendar already filled with tour dates.
