PJ Morton Introduces Special Only Productions With 'Baby Hold On' Featuring Kalipop & DOMINIC!

Diddy may have been recognized as the hardest working man in music at one time, but PJ Morton is giving the man a run for his money. The unstoppable juggernaut is a multiple GRAMMY Award-winning solo artist, label owner, member of Maroon 5, husband, father and highly-sought-after talent. As if all that wasn't enough, he’s just started a new production company, Special Only Productions. Thankfully, he’s not alone in this endeavor, as it appears that all his label artists and a few talented friends are getting in on the fun with this one. And, to give you a taste of what’s to come from the upstart company, Special Only Productions will release one new track at the end of each month this year. With today marking the end of the longest January ever, we have the opening salvo from the emerging organization with “Baby Hold On” featuring Morton, Kalipop and DOMINIC!.

On “Baby Hold On,” PJ and the gang are trying their best to sway the attention of a young woman who’s caught their eye. “Baby hold on, you got me excited, and I like it,” the trio croons in sweet harmony. While the funky production, composed of synths, drums and bass guitar is on point, there are also some really cute nuggets to be found in the lyrics, too, like when PJ sings, “I keep giving honey to be so alone.”

If there’s anything bad we’d have to say about the track is that it’s too short, clocking in at just over two minutes. It’s quite a tease, especially considering we have to wait a whole month for the next track to drop. Thankfully, February is a short month, so we don’t have as long to wait. Plus, when the music output is this good, it’s worth waiting for. And knowing PJ, he’ll surprise us with a new track, collaboration, group, live recording or something he’s been saving for a special occasion, like Valentine’s Day, in about five minutes or so.
