It's been a long time since the summer of 2018, especially if you ask fans of HBO's hit series Insecure. The Issa Rae led series had to be put on hiatus after its Season 3 finale because, simply put, Issa's career got busier than Humpty Hump in a Burger King bathroom. Don't fret, though, as the fourth season of the comedy is on the horizon. How do we know? Because HBO just dropped a teaser trailer announcing when it will be returning to the air.
As per usual, we're treated to Issa letting her inner rapper shine with one of her signature mirror raps. This time, however, she looks to be bossin' up as she tries on a few professional outfits. When we last left her, she stepped out on faith to start her own community organization. From her boastful lines, it sounds like that move is paying off. "It's time to level up, h** / Call me elevator," she spits. "Not worried about no bulls**t / Not worried about no haters." But, because this is Issa, there must be a snag. This happens literally as she drops it to the beat and splits her skirt in the process. She quickly shakes it off though, giggling that her butt is "getting fat" just before the series' return date is shown on the screen.
We're positive that this season will be just as talked about as ever. We'll get to kick it with Issa, Molly, Lawrence and the rest of the crew when Insecure returns on April 12th. Until then, you can relive the vibe of Season 3 by checking out its soundtrack.
