Though we dig his music, we first came to know Trevor Jackson on the small screen in roles on shows like American Crime and grown-ish. So it's always nice to see the budding young star flex both his music talent and acting skills in his creative music videos. Speaking of which, he recently released his latest video, a dramatic clip for his Rough Drafts, Pt. 2 single "Tell You The Truth."
The song, which is all about Trevor confronting a guy about what his girl has really been up to, is already a dramatic piece of work. Trevor ups the drama factor with the video, though. He plays what appears to be a therapist having a session with a client. The patient is super happy about how things are going with his relationship and even shows him a picture of his lady. Things take a turn, though, when Trevor reveals that not only is she creeping on him but that Trevor's the guy she's been creeping with. Just when you think you know what's going on, things take a dark turn when his goons kidnap the client and set up a meeting between the three of them and a visibly sharp knife. We'd tell you what goes down next, but that would spoil the fun.
Given the way everything goes down here, we're not sure if we should be scared or impressed (or possibly a combination of the two). We do know, however, that Rough Drafts, Pt. 2 definitely is a vibe and — with other songs like "Puddles" and "Warning" — is worth exploring before the year is up. Be sure to give the album a spin after you check out Trevor Jackson and his twisted vision in "Tell You The Truth."
