Sometimes it takes a change of scenery and pace to really find yourself. Singer/songwriter iamtheliving found that to be the case when he uprooted himself from his home in South East London, UK and moved halfway across the world to Vancouver, Canada. That move to the West Coast has proved fruitful for the artist whose creativity has thrived in his new setting, and now he is sharing one of the fruits of his labor with the new single "It's In All Of Us" in a SoulBounce exclusive world premiere.
iamtheliving collaborated with producer Chin Injeti to create "It's In All Of Us." Over a bluesy sound bed of guitar, bass and drums, iamtheliving's vocal takes center stage with soul and power. He displays his range from a lower register on the verses to a clear falsetto on the chorus when he sings, "It's in all of us / The joy and the pain." The song was inspired by the loss of Chin's father and his family members' various reactions to his death. They all dealt with their grief in different ways, but at the end of the day they came together as a strong unit to get through that trying time. According to iamtheliving, "We were inspired to write a song based on this experience knowing that other people could relate to a similar situation that occurred in their own life."
