JAMESDAVIS Gives Us 'Something To Talk About'

After heading out across the U.S. and UK with Leikeli47 as part of her The Acrylic Tour, and marking their return with the release of their EP Masterpeace earlier this year, talented trio JAMESDAVIS are making sure their name stays on the lips of soul music lovers everywhere. They have dropped the visual for one of the project's standout tracks, “Something to Talk About.” The sultry mid-tempo groove speaks of the work it takes to rescue a relationship after it’s taken a turn for the worse. Rather than allow things to continue to crumble, they note the importance of laying out all the pieces on the table and putting them back together through conversation. At a time when walking away seems to be the rule when it comes to relationships, we find their take refreshingly mature, as they advocate for the preservation of love through frank and meaningful dialogue.

The Erik Rojas-directed visual showcases all three members of the Inglewood, California-bred band in the throes of their respective relationships. Jess struggles to strike a balance between work and her love life, while her twin Rey can’t seem to see eye to eye with her boo. Meanwhile, their brother AusTon seems to be caught between the ease of a free-flowing convo in one relationship and the constant bickering of another. The capture is a realistic depiction of the phases that any relationship is subject to, while the track maintains the importance of talking through it all.
