Since dropping her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby last week, singer Ari Lennox has kept us grooving to her soothing brand of soul sprinkled with a hefty dose of Black Girl Magic. Now she returns with a new video for current single "Up Late."
In the Lacey Duke-helmed video, we see Lennox in spacious green pastures as she belts out the sexy song. Her various monochromatic outfits stand out in stark contrast to the seemingly endless fields that surround her. The fact that the video is set on a sunny, unbelievably clear day does little to detract from the steaminess of the song thanks to the sensuality that seems to ooze from her.
Part way through the video, Lennox is joined by the song's co-producer Masego, who delivers a steamy saxophone solo. Though simple in nature, the video provides the perfect backdrop for this ode to being kept up all hours of the night by a little romp between the sheets.
