Okurrr! Cardi B Makes Another Money Move By Trademarking Catchphrase

Cardi B stays securing the bag. This week, she ensured that by trademarking her "okurrr" catchphrase. The phrase, which has become so synonymous with the rap star that she's even featured in a Pepsi campaign just for saying it, along with its alternate spelling "okurr" will exist as a trademark held by Cardi's cosmetics company Washpoppin Inc. if all goes well. The star plans to use it for clothing items, paper goods and posters, among other things. Explaining why she filed for the trademark via an IG post, Cardi said, "Let me tell you something, every single time I go to a corporate meeting, these folks be like, 'Oh my god, can we just please hear you say 'okurrr.' Every time I go to a TV show, 'Hey, hey, can you teach me how to say 'okurrr'? ... You think I ain't gonna profit off this s**t?!" She's got a pretty good point. In other bag-securing news, she's set to make her big screen debut in Hustlers, a stripper revenge flick toplined by Jennifer Lopez and also starring Keke Palmer, Crazy Rich AsiansConstance Wu and a few other Hollywood heavy hitters. #SecureThatBagSis
