Monica is walking into 2019 with love, compassion and a new single connected to a greater cause. The songstress just launched her own nonprofit, The BeHUMAN Foundation, with the goal of breaking down barriers and bringing people together with music. The new organization comes equipped with a companion single and accompanying visual from the songstress aptly titled "BeHUMAN."
The track features Monica's rich vocals over a somber sound bed of piano and strings. For the video, we watch incredibly powerful and profoundly sad visuals from the past year as the song's lyrics flash on the screen. There are scenes from Charlottesville, visuals of the homeless and news clips of shootings, police brutality and more. "The need for us all to simply Be Human is ever present in this day and time. Having love and compassion for others as well as the desire to treat our neighbors as we would ourselves could bring the necessary change needed in this world," Monica says on the organization's website.
When Monica's not saving lives or creating new music, she's hanging with her besties on VH1's T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle.
