With one week left until Christmas, holiday tunes are filling the air(waves) practically everywhere you go. We've been highlighting some of our favorite new seasonal albums, and we'd be remiss if we didn't shout out Aloe Blacc's Christmas Funk. Describing the 10-track collection, which consists of eight originals and two covers, the GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter says, "These new song concepts and stories are my interpretation of the time I spend with family and friends...As much as I love Sinatra and Nat King Cole, I feel like the holiday spirit needed a funky revival."
After dropping the project's lead single, "I Got Your Christmas Right Here," last month, Blacc continues the funky good time with the song's visuals. While the title may sound like fighting words, or even sexual innuendo, it's a totally innocent and harmless song about giving the gift of love. Like many artists have done this season, he keeps things fairly simple for the video – showing friends and family (including his wife, Maya Jupiter, and their two adorable children) as they gather to celebrate the holidays.
