There are good singers and then there are vocal powerhouses. Anyone who's heard songstress LaToiya Williams sing can attest to the fact that she falls into the latter category. She's blessed many a hip-hop track from Snoop Dogg, JAY-Z, The Game and more with her lush voice over the years and went toe-to-toe and note-for-note with Anthony Hamilton on the love song "My First Love" from his classic debut album. After elevating other artists with her talents, it's finally LaToiya's turn to drop her long-awaited debut album Blue Rose, and she's revealed the cover art, tracklist and release date much to our delight.
Blue Rose will showcase LaToiya's vocal prowess over the course of eight songs. She has already given us a taste of the project with two singles, "Vintage Love" and "Save Your Love For Me," and one look at the tracklist has us intrigued with song titles such as "Can't Decide," "No Time" and "One Call." The collection will feature production by Avila Brothers, who produced the lead single "Vintage Love," and more producers who know how to get the best from Williams and let her bloom.
LaToiya Williams' Blue Rose is currently available for pre-save on Spotify and can be pre-ordered from iTunes, Amazon and the usual suspects starting on Tuesday, October 16th. Circle that date and the album's official release date of Friday, October 19th in red on your calendars because this is an album you're gonna want to own.
