Oh Snap! Cardi B Tries To Put Them Hands On Nicki Minaj At Fashion Week Party
It's been a long time coming, but the long-brewing feud between rap rivals Cardi B and Nicki Minaj finally came to a head last night at Harper's Bazaar's Bazaar Icons party during New York Fashion Week. The altercation seemingly started out of nowhere, with Cardi lunging after the "Barbie Dreams" rapper once their entourages met on the second-floor balcony of the venue. Cellphone footage of the event shows security holding the "Bodak Yellow" artist saying, "B***h, come here," and Nicki responding, "I'm standing here." Cardi also dares Nicki to "like some s**t about my kid again, b***h" before launching her shoes in the rapper's direction. Though the shoes didn't connect with their target, Cardi was still escorted from the party and snapped by photogs on the scene with a knot swelling on her forehead. She also clarified why everything happened in an IG post.
"I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat!" she wrote in the fiery post. However, it seems that while she took most of Nicki's antics in stride, there was one line that she crossed that Cardi couldn't stand for: "But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**kin off!!!"
