Porcelan Is Looking For Her Superman In 'Lois Lane'

Porcelan may not necessarily be a household name yet, but the Memphis native has the potential to become one very soon. Helping her in achieving that goal is her current single "Lois Lane," which is climbing the charts and making a pretty big impact on urban adult contemporary radio. Capitalizing on that momentum, she delivers a star turn in the song's Erik White-directed video.

The song, written by DeNarious Holmes and produced by Hamilton Hardin, finds Porcelan looking for her very own hero just like Superman's main squeeze. Picking up on the hero vibes, White decides to cast the singer in her own version of 1992's hit movie The Bodyguard, with her stepping into the role of pop star in distress. She's every bit as glamorous as the film's diva Rachel Marron and has just as hunky a protector and love interest standing at her side. As the visual's plot progresses, we see that while Porcelan and her fella are falling for each other, his fellow bodyguard seems to be getting a case of green eyes. It all culminates in a startling incident in which the jealous bodyguard attempts to rob her blind. Don't fear, though, as her knight in a well-cut suit swoops in for the rescue and saves the day.

In real life, though, Porcelan isn't in need of saving as she's doing just fine. The singer is still on a high from appearing at this year's ESSENCE Music Festival and has a lot more ahead in her burgeoning career. Check out the artist on the rise in the video for "Lois Lane" below.
