An unusually snowy March in the DMV had Team SoulBounce jonesing for warmer weather and the start of music festival season. So we decided to kick things off early this year with a trip down to Miami for the 2018 Jazz In The Gardens Music Fest. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale ready to begin our trip and hopped into the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain Denali small luxury SUV, which was ready and waiting for us to put the music in GMC. The sleeker, sexier, curvaceous exterior in a flawless Satin Steel finish with the classic Denali grille had us at hello.
Our funktastic voyage began when we reached for the gearshift and found it replaced with an electronic precision shift – an advanced button and switch-based transmission interface – leaving lots of space in the center console for phones, USB cables, water bottles, coffee cups and sunglasses. With a playlist pumping out jams by this year's JITG artists through the speakers, we hopped on 95 South and headed to Miami.
We made the trip during rush hour and learned quickly that South Florida requires your defensive driving A-game. It didn’t hurt having a vehicle with a 2.0 liter turbo engine that could accelerate quickly and lots of dope safety features like low speed forward automatic braking, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, StabiliTrak electronic stability control and a rear video camera.
GMC had our safety on lock, freeing us up to enjoy the vehicle's other super duper fly features like the Bose premium 7-speaker system and OnStar’s built-in 4GLTE wifi. The 2018 GMC Terrain Denali’s spacious interior made our trips back and forth to Hard Rock Stadium with a carload full of music lovers comfy and cozy. The plethora of 120V outlets, USB charging ports and other techie amenities, like an SD card reader, had us soul-bouncing, posting photos to social media and grooving without missing a beat.
We love it when a car company gets us and our music-chasing, mobile office lifestyle. The all-new 2018 GMC Terrain Denali was a Bounce-Worthy travel buddy for sure. Good looking out to our friends at GMC and GM Diversity Communications.
