Erykah Badu, Nas, The Roots, Anderson .Paak & More Set To Perform At The 2018 Summer Spirit Festival

While spring has been playing hide and go seek, we're already looking forward to summer. Sure, we can't wait for the consistently warm weather and longer days, but we're really excited for the music festivals ahead in the coming months that will be happening around the country. High on the list is the DMV's own 2018 Summer Spirit Festival with another killer lineup of soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.

The 2018 Summer Spirit Festival takes place at Columbia, Maryland's Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th, and the weekend will be filled with live performances by a who's who of SoulBounce faves. Day one will be headlined by the undisputed Queen of the Summer Spirit Festival, Erykah Badu, who returns this year after taking a break for 2017's festival. Joining Badu onstage that Saturday will be hip-hop heavyweights Nas, Method Man & Redman and Rapsody. The good times will continue to roll on day two with The Roots also making a return engagement to the Summer Spirit Festival after last playing it in 2016. The Legendary Roots Crew is scheduled to set it off on Sunday alongside Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Lizzo, Raheem DeVaughn and Masego. And the best part of all? There are still more artists to be announced!

Make plans right now to spend the first weekend in August in the DMV getting all this good music magic. Having seen all of these artists perform live before, we can guarantee that attendees to the 2018 Summer Spirit Festival are in for an incredible festival. The 2018 edition of the Summer Spirit Festival marks the festival's 13th year, and this year might just be its most lit yet.
