We don't know about y'all, but we can't get enough of duo VanJess. The ladies have consistently delivered head nod-worthy tracks since coming onto the scene, especially as of late with songs such "Touch The Floor," "Favor" and "Through Enough." They continue the trend with the release of their latest single, "Easy," which is set to be featured on their upcoming EP.
The sensual track, produced by Jay Kurtzwell, is comprised of a combination of butter smooth synths and keys punctuated by knocking kick drums, stuttering hi-hats and snare drums that keep things interesting. That leaves enough room for sisters Ivana and Jessica Nwokike to weave in their distinct harmonies as they sing about an undeniable vibe they feel with a person of interest. Though they don't want to catch feelings, there's just something effortless that keeps pulling them back in. "Take me to your great escape / Call me, I'll be on the way," they sing flawlessly in unison. "How you make it feel so easy?"
Meanwhile, they invite two others to join them on the track, Bounce-Worthy alum Berhana and rising rap star Leikeli47. Each rapper adds their own energy to the song, with Berhana turning up with a quicker-paced set of bars while Leikeli adapts a more hushed flow as she spits slick game while referencing Prince, Lionel Richie and Stranger Things in the span of 15 seconds.
"Easy" is yet another smash for VanJess and has us at peak anticipation levels for what they've got coming up next. Settle into their latest groove right here.
