Singer Kelela‘s 2018 is already off to a great start. After dropping her debut album, Take Me Apart, and embarking on her first major international tour in 2017, she’s keeping the momentum going in the new year. Just last week it was announced that she’d be performing at both Coachella and NYC’s Governors Ball Music Festival. Now comes news that the D.C.-native is continuing with her plan for world domination with a new spate of international tour dates.
First up, Kelela will be heading to Australia where she will join British band The xx on tour beginning Saturday, January 13th. She’ll then head over to Europe where she will take the stage in both Italy and the UK before returning stateside for a handful of East Coast shows. She took to Twitter to announce the East Coast dates, tweeting, “to all my east boos: can’t wait to see ya’ll this winter.” She also took song requests on the platform, asking fans which songs they’d like to hear her perform.
Although she has only announced shows in New York, Boston, Philadaelphia and Washington, D.C. so far, more dates are set to be added in the near future. Tickets for the latest batch of shows go on sale Friday, January 12th at 10 a.m. EST. If your city is not listed, be sure to stay tuned to see if she adds it to her list of tour stops.
