Few things relieve the stress of the work week like a night out with friends. While it’s a little too cold these days to take it to the streets, with the help of some music, your drink of choice and perhaps a few games, you and your comrades can still turn up indoors. R&B singer Craig David sets this sentiment to music with his new single, “I Know You.” Joined by British indie rock band Bastille, the vibrant tune captures all the fun and feels of hanging out with your besties and having a good time. They sing, “I fall to the curb, you laugh till it hurts / Who cares? We've been here so many times / We're all stumbling through the night / It doesn't matter, we're all together / And it’s paradise in our minds.” Whether you’ve been there or not, we all know what it’s like to be around the folks you trust and are comfortable enough around to truly let loose.
David says that he and Dan Smith, lead singer of the band, “wanted to write a song about inclusion, love for our friends and making great memories together." He says, "'I Know You' is a nice way of reminding us to celebrate life & how simple things, like being on a night out with our mates, really does give us all so much pleasure." The accompanying visual keeps the party going and captures the crew turned all the way up at a house party. We see them engage in games of pool and singing karaoke, all while taking lots of shots in-between. It seems everyone can relate to the carefree time reflected in the festive video, simply living it up and having a ball with your closest buddies.
