N.E.R.D Takes Over 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' With Performances Of 'Lemon' & '1000'

N.E.R.D is back and rockin' like they never left. In case you've been under a rock, the trio dropped their first album in seven years, No_One Ever Really Dies, this past Friday. The album is chock-full of jams, but of course our faves are the album's two lead singles, "Lemon" and "1000." They brought both to life on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Friday to celebrate the album's release and show America what a N.E.R.D party looks like.

"Lemon" kicked off the night, with PharrellChad Hugo and Shay Haley marching through of a crowd of dancers for the hyper-kinetic opening verses. But when the beat dropped and Rihanna's vocals spilled from the speakers, all eyes where on dancer Mette Towley, who recreated her look and moves from the song's video down to the black laces on her shoes as the N.E.R.D crew stood atop a neon-van. The very dope moment was followed by an equally dope moment with "1000." Rather than redo the video for this one, an entire crew of dancers stood on the assorted cars as Mette led them in militaristic dance moves and Pharrell and Shay performed their respective parts. Both performance kept the vibe and motif that the group has consistently given us this album cycle, making us wonder if this a show that they might be planning to take on the road.

Check out the performances below and get into N.E.R.D's new era.
