Jill Scott's Headed For A Messy Divorce
It seems like 2017 is the year of the divorce, and another high profile lady is calling it quits. A little over a year ago, we were toasting the nuptials of our favorite soul sista Jill Scott and her hubby Mike Dobson. While we heaped well wishes upon the news, it looks like their marital bliss was quite temporary. News broke this week that Jill filed for divorce from her now-estranged hubby on September 15th of this year, citing "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct" as the reasons. How she did it so quietly is beyond us, but it won't be quiet anymore as her ex is making it known that the split is anything but amicable. Mike Dobson spoke to Bossip (of all places) to give them an exclusive of his side of the matter. “She’s an evil woman,” he said to the gossip site. “I’m telling you. It’s like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets. People are in her ear, and if someone comes in to challenge the dumb s**t, they made me be the bad guy and that got me outta there.” Yikes! Oh, but he wasn't done, tossing out this bitter jab: “She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem. I told her, she’s from Philly, but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty.” Seeing as Jill usually keeps her private business on the QT, we hope that both parties can keep this between themselves and not let any further messiness comes about. #AnotherOneBitesTheDust
