Ari Lennox's Imagination Runs Wild In 'Night Drive'

It's been almost a year since Washington, D.C.-bred songstress Ari Lennox released her sophomore EP, PHO, and in case you thought she was done with it and onto the next, you thought wrong. After spending most of this year on J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour, Ari brings us something new with the trippy visuals for PHO track "Night Drive."

Directed by Scott Lazer, the video features Lennox taking a night drive in her convertible and pulling up to a school. She enters the deserted building then sings and dances throughout the darkened hallways and in a darkroom. We soon see that she's not alone, however, as we see a shrouded figure with long, sharp knives for fingers in the shadows following her around. This may sound like the makings of a nightmare, but Ari is as unbothered as ever as she goes about her singing and dancing business. Near the end of the clip, the school bell rings and we see elementary school children fill the hallway while she stands there looking befuddled at what just happened. Or did it?

The action in the "Night Drive" video may have been a figment of Ari Lennox's imagination, but, in reality, she's living her best life. The Dreamville signee will continue her glow up when she joins Cole on the European leg of the 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour through the end of October. European fans can check for Ari's tour schedule on her website.
