Chance The Rapper Scores An Emmy Nom, 'Insecure' & 'Queen Sugar' Get Snubbed

Now that he's ruled the GRAMMYs and the BET Awards, Chance the Rapper has his eye set on the Emmys. The much-lauded rap star has snagged a nomination in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category for "Jingle Barack," his Christmas carol tribute to the Obama White House that aired during the holiday episode of Saturday Night Live. Upon hearing of the honor, Lil Chano took to Twitter to celebrate, writing, "MAMA I GOT NOMINATED FOR A EMMY THANK YOU SNL." While Chance was celebrating, we were noticing some glaring omissions from the list of nominees, namely the lack of nominations for Issa Rae's smash hit dramedy Insecure and Ava DuVernay's gorgeous drama Queen SugarTo quote an SNL sketch, what's up with that?! #CongratsChance #ButEmmysYouKnowYouWrong
