Finally in 2016, he released his debut EP No Filter, a five-track set produced by his brother Sterling Gittens Jr. and Kris Rahming (collectively known as "The Prodigies") that explores themes of love and relationships. With his irresistibly tender vocals and infectious arrangements that blend R&B, hip-hop and pop, the project serves as a worthy introduction to his sound. When speaking of the album, he remarked, “I grew up listening to all kinds of music. There is so much pollution in the music of today and the goal with my music is to promote love and positivity. I want to inspire and be proud of the content I put out for the world to hear.”
If you're wondering what's next for Will Gittens, he's already released two new singles ("If There Was A Way" and "Forget About You") this year in addition to collaborating with artists like Ben Carter & India Shawn. Plus, he still drops an occasional cover every now and then. And though the 25-year-old will be pretty busy backing Jidenna over the summer, we have a feeling he'll be dropping some more original music real soon. Until then, get familiar with Will Gittens and keep your eye on his upcoming moves.
