After getting a scorcher of a track from Alesia Lani earlier this year with "Ride," we were primed and ready to receive more. The Austin-bred songstress made us wait a few months, but now she's decided to drop off her latest track, "Intentions." The new single hails from her upcoming project, resilient, her second full-length album since her 2015 debut, First Impression.
Produced by Kal V. and Jon Keyz, Alesia gives us a mid-tempo, sassy groove where she asks her potential significant other to be upfront with his intentions. With chopped-and-screwed ad-libs in the background, the sweet tone of the single gets some necessary added grit. After the 1:30 mark, Alesia proves how serious she is with a funky breakdown that emphasizes that she is indeed grown. Fellow Austinite G-Jet joins Alesia's party, adding more hip-hop to the soulful ditty and providing suspect answers to her questions that many millennials will likely relate to.
Whether Alesia is satisfied or not, it's clear that she's taking the reigns of her relationships and her career with the new offering.
