Mali Music Reveals 'The Transition Of Mali' Album Cover & Release Date

We all go through various transitions as the seasons change and time moves on. It looks like one of our favorite inspirational soul crooners Mali Music feels the same way, too. He just announced the release of his sophomore album, The Transition of Mali, revealing its grey and turquoise cover on his social media channels last night. Set for release on June 2nd, we're already impatient and wondering what soulful goodies he has in store for us on the 13-track album.

At the top of April, the crooner released the album's first single, "Gonna Be Alright." He shot a video for the Salaam Remi-produced track a month ago, which we're predicting is next in line on his album promo train. Speaking of promo, Mali is making the live performance rounds in Oakland on May 11th and Los Angeles on May 12th, if you happen to be on the West Coast and can catch his energetic live set. So what kind of transition is Mali going through exactly? Well, from what we hear, the album is supposed to show Mali's evolution as an artist as he explores different sounds.

If you're curious about his musical catalog thus far, you can get to know Kortney Jamaal Pollard when you look back at his first studio album, Mali Is..., and his other soulful loosies right here. If you want to get a taste of the new album, you can purchase the first track "Gonna Be Alright" on AmazoniTunes or Google Play. You'll be able to pre-order The Transition of Mali on May 12th, and until then you can join us as we make some room on our playlists and wait to get more news from the Mali Music camp.
